Historic Pueblo is featured in the national magazine “AppleSeeds” published by ePals Media, Inc/Cobblestone in its March issue according to Susan Buckley, editor. “The article is written by Pueblo author and researcher Deborah Martinez Martinez, “ Buckley added.

The issue is “Who Did What on the Frontier” and features five of the youthful historical interpreters of El Pueblo Trading Post.

According to Martinez Martinez, photographs of the children were taken during the El Pueblo History Museum’s Mercado days. “Children were a big part of the frontier labor force,” she said. “It is important for young people to be visible at historical interpretive events, as it adds to the experience of visitors.”

El Pueblo Trading Post is a national historic site and is the property of History Colorado.
